I just had all these random opinions floating in my head that I couldn't really get a good feel for. I kept feeling mad at Kurt (until his "I believe in you and me" bit) and I didn't WANT to. Then I realized it was because refusing prayers when your dad's in the hospital makes you look like a jackass. But, goodness, was his church hat fabulous. ;D

I feel like all my Glee-caps for SHE BLOGGO are just going to be, "Here's what they SHOULD have done!" I feel badly about doing it, but it's the most brutal thing, as a fan, to have a show with amazing concepts and shitty execution. That, my friend, is the definition of disappointment.

Speaking of disappointment: QUINNNNNN. I feel like it's a pretty common complaint that Quinn doesn't get enough screentime, solos, etc; and I used to shrug it off. But after writing that damn piece about how she could be the best character, I think I'm turning into a crusader, haha. She DOES need more screentime and more solos, although I'll take the first over the second if I have to choose. They just don't pay attention to her, and that's the biggest crime. She is far and away the most interesting and complex, excepting perhaps Kurt, Artie, and on good days, Rachel, Brittany and Santana. Eurgh.

I'd been on board with Season 2 Quinn so far until "Cheesus." But, at least she didn't go all crazy preachy on everybody, which would be a real shame. I feel like they're not quite undoing her character arc yet - she's sort of stuck in neutral this season. She's always just looking wistful and out of it, which, while vague, is at the very least suggestive of some sort of character plans. Maybe?DR SHE BLOGGOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04971801439459541992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1583232612899692330.post-2799591177682610642010-10-08T10:25:53.836-04:002010-10-08T10:25:53.836-04:00Ahhhh as always you say everything I feel and can&...Ahhhh as always you say everything I feel and can't say! And are fairer about it, and less snippy (you should probably warn your readers that my "intelligent" take is less intelligent and more angry). :D Honestly, you are right on with every point of this un(holy) trinity; the crux of this episode's issues really was the decision to invite Death in. The current state of popular culture and society doesn't allow for the many different modes of grief, which means that there was no way Kurt (or whoever) was going to NOT look selfish and jerky.

Quinn makes me sorrowful. I know they're trying to turn her back into Queen Bitch, what with "I'm shilling for abstinence again!" and all, but it feels wrong and cheap. She could be so much more interesting and real than they're letting her be. This season so far is making me agree that she's got the worst writing on the show. :(Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09634766750596400436noreply@blogger.com
